In response to the war launched by the terrorist organization Hamas against Israel on October 7, 2023, the United Jewish Federation of Utah created the "Utah Israel Emergency Fund" to help provide immediate assistance to victims and their families, rebuild damaged infrastructure, and address the unprecedented levels of trauma caused by this horrific attack. One year later, our community has raised over $780,000 for humanitarian aid in Israel, assisting hundreds of non-profit organizations in Israel and creating mental health trauma centers throughout the country.
One year later, we continue to raise and send money to support vulnerable Israelis and those directly impacted by the war, as the war in the South continues and the war in the North escalates.
100% of your contribution goes directly to support the people of Israel where support is most needed through the Jewish Federations of North America's partners.
JFNA is working with its office in Israel and a diverse allocations team to vet needs and to ensure that funds are prioritized to meet the most critical needs first. This system also allows JFNA to pivot quickly and ensure that organizations of all sizes, small and large, that are responding have the resources they need. JFNA has “the big picture,” which is why The Union of Reform Judaism, JCC Association of North America, and United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism are directing their donors and donations to JFNA and why all gifts made to the Utah Stands with Israel Fund will be passed on to JFNA. Whether you give through us or directly to an organization of your choice in Israel, please give. Let’s all stand with Israel. Am Yisrael Chai.
Thank you for your generosity.
May the memories of all the innocent lives lost on and since October 7 be for a blessing and may we act together in support of Israel in their names.
Am Yisrael Chai.
